Shopify's Marketplace Connect overview and Marketplace Connect setup guide (formerly Codisto) connect a single Shopify catalog to four external marketplaces:

Before connecting, uninstall any legacy marketplace connector app so two integrations never fight over the same SKU quantities. Listing products across marketplaces and running manual order imports into Shopify carry no app fee, and Shopify includes automatically syncing your first 50 marketplace orders per month at no extra charge before per-order synced billing applies. Remember that payouts still come directly from each marketplace's seller bank setup rather than through Shopify Payments.

Set price rules and inventory buffers per channel

External marketplaces charge referral fees and penalize seller accounts harshly for out-of-stock cancellations. Inside Apps > Marketplace Connect > Settings, configure channel-specific defaults before publishing offers:

Route FBM, FBA and third-party 3PL orders cleanly

Shopify's Marketplace Connect order fulfillment guide displays the originating marketplace name in the Channel column on your Orders page and passes buyer-selected shipping service codes into Shopify.

Configure warehouse handoffs carefully across three fulfillment models:

1. Amazon FBA-to-FBM automatic fallback: Products fulfilled via Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) can automatically switch over to your Merchant-Fulfilled (FBM) Shopify stock as soon as FBA center inventory hits zero, keeping high-velocity listings active.
2. Target Plus fulfillment restriction: Orders placed on Target Plus cannot be fulfilled using fulfillment services through Amazon (such as MCF) or Walmart, so route Target Plus SKUs strictly to your own warehouse or an approved non-competitor 3PL.
3. Disconnect direct 3PL marketplace feeds: If an external 3PL app is already wired directly to your Amazon or eBay account AND connected to Shopify, syncing marketplace orders into Shopify creates duplicate shipments in the warehouse. Disconnect the marketplace from the 3PL app first so orders flow once (Marketplace -> Shopify -> 3PL -> tracking back to Marketplace).
